The format will be the same as in past postseason tourneys: a double-elimination tournament with four teams the includes the Rebels. The team emerging from the Regional will move on to Super Regionals.
Seven SEC teams selected to host
Seven Southeastern Conference schools were named hosts this year. In addition to Ole Miss, the NCAA selected Arkansas, Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Mississippi State as hosts.
Full speed ahead!
The Rebels will enjoy full attendance at Swayze for Regionals, following a May 20 announcement from the NCAA that no limits on fan attendance will be imposed. The local and state governments where each team will determine the number of fans allowed — and Mississippi is fully open for 100 percent attendance.
Who will join the Rebs in Oxford?
The rest of the teams in the tournament, including those who will join Ole Miss in Oxford, will be announced Monday at 11:00 a.m. (CT) on ESPN2. Additionally, the Rebels will find out with which Regional they are matched — which ultimately decides where Ole Miss would play for Supers upon advancing through the initial round.
Congrats to the Rebels and Hotty Toddy!
