‘Twas the morning of Flipmas

‘Twas the morning of Flipmas

Twas the morning of Flipmas, when all through the Sip,
The Lane Train was buzzing, with sights set on a championship.
The recruits were signing, as they had all said,
And Mike Leach was crying, losing kid after kid.

The 2021 class was all snug in their beds,
With visions of Red and Blue dancing in their heads.
And Kiffin in his visor, and I in my cap,
Had just settled in, for an early signing day nap.
When across the nation, there arose such a scurry,
As croot after croot, signed in a hurry.

Away to Twitter, I typed very quick
‘Merry Flipmas! Come to the Sip!’

When what to my wondering eyes did appear,
But 4-star DB M.J. Daniels throwing fins up, not wearing State gear!

The ink on the paper brightly glistened,
And I thought to myself, ‘Man, I love Lane Kiffin.’

More speedy than Ealy, his signees they came,
And he shouted and fist pumped, and called them by name:
“Now JJ, now Tysheem, now Kyndrich and Brandon!”
“On Jayden, on Dink, on Taleeq and Hudson!”

And I heard Lane exclaim, as his clipboard flew out of sight,
“Merry Flipmas to all! And to all a good night!”
