Ole Miss Men’s Basketball Guard Travis Perry Enters Transfer Portal
OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss sophomore guard Travis Perry is set to enter the transfer portal per agent Nate Conley of Court XIV.
Perry, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound guard, appeared in 35 games for the Rebels (with 16 starts), and averaged 5.3 points on 34.3% shooting (35.3% on 3.9 3-point attempts per game), 1.6 rebounds, and 1.1 assists. He racked up 16 points, six rebounds, and two assists in an SEC Tournament win over Georgia.
The all-time leading scorer in Kentucky high school hoops, Perry was a 4-star recruit in the class of 2024 when he signed with the Wildcats. In 31 games, four of which were starts, the 6-foot-1, 188-pound Perry averaged 2.7 points on 31.3% shooting (32.1% on 3-pointers) in 9.8 minutes per game.
Perry is a quality player who just found himself in a loaded backcourt. With Ole Miss and head coach Chris Beard looking at quite a few guards, according to rumors, it makes sense that Perry would want to explore his options. With Ilias Kamardine and Patton Pinkins each announcing their intent to return, there was not a guarantee of consistent playing time for Perry.
