Ole Miss (26-11 overall, 8-7 SEC) was powered by a fantastic outing from starting pitcher Taylor Rabe, who had a no-hitter going through six innings before back-to-back home runs to start the seventh blemished his line.
Rabe ended the night with 6.0 innings pitched, giving up 2 hits, one walk, one hit by pitch, and 2 earned runs. He tallied five strikeouts and seventy-five total pitches.
Although Ole Miss blew a 7-0 lead in the seventh, allowing the Tigers (22-15, 6-9 SEC) to score seven in the frame, a clutch base hit from Brayden Randle in the bottom of the frame gave Ole Miss the edge to secure the sweep.
It was all Rebels offensively early on, as they opened the scoring with Will Furniss and Hayden Federico punching back-to-back RBI singles into right field in the first inning.

LSU broke the no-hitter in the seventh with back-to-back homers from Derek Curiel and Cade Arrambide, bringing Rabe’s afternoon to an end, as he exited with a 7-2 lead.
Wil Libbert entered to relieve Rabe, and was greeted with the Tigers’ third straight solo home run, making it 7-3, Ole Miss. The home run was then tailed by back-to-back singles, leaving runners on first and second with no outs in the seventh.
LSU proceeded to score four more runs and tie the game in the seventh with two RBI singles from Brayden Simpson and Curiel, with Curiel also coming around to score on a wild pitch, evening the score at 7-7.
Ole Miss responded. Randle drove in Federico with an RBI single into left field. Ole Miss did load the bases with two outs, but could not convert. Nevertheless, they left the seventh with an 8-7 lead.
