Inside Ole Miss Football’s Offensive Recruiting Board: Top 2027 Targets at Every Position
OXFORD, Miss. — Although it feels like Ole Miss just finalized the 2025 football season, it’s already April and spring practices are underway. It’s time to look ahead to the future, and not just to the upcoming 2026 season, but farther down the line to 2027.
Head coach Pete Golding finalized the Rebels’ 2026 recruiting class with the No. 18-ranked transfer portal class and the No. 27-ranked class from the high school levels. And the focus has been all in on the 2027 class.
Ole Miss currently has four commits in the 2027 class: two four-star defensive linemen, a four-star quarterback, and a three-star linebacker. But with plenty of time left for Golding and the staff to earn some more commitments, who else are they targeting?
These are the top players at each offensive position.
Quarterbacks
- No. 1 QB Elijah Haven, Baton Rouge, LA.
- No. 3 QB Israel Abrams, Lombard, IL. (Miami commit)
- No. 4 QB Trae Taylor, Lake in the Hills, IL. (Nebraska commit)
- No. 7 QB Peter Bourque, Hingham, MA
- No. 6 QB Peyton Houston, Cotton Valley, LA. (LSU commit)
- No. 11 QB Blake Roskopf, Goodyear, AZ. (Washington commit)
- No. 8 QB Jayce Johnson, Valdosta, GA. (Texas A&M commit)
- No. 14 QB Keegan Croucher, Fonda, NY. (Ole Miss commit)
- No. 9 QB Colton Nussmeier, Flower Mound, TX.
- No. 16 QB Kharim Hughley, Gainesville, GA. (Clemson commit)
Even with Croucher committed, the Rebels would still like to add another quarterback, but it won’t be detrimental if they don’t. Croucher has been a rising prospect and is an outstanding early addition to headline the class.
Currently rated as a four-star, Croucher could very easily find himself earning that fifth star soon. His ability to make effortless throws, especially on the run, with high accuracy and great throw power, makes him a very impressive prospect.
The Ole Miss staff is also high on Roskopf, the Arizona native, whose tendency and ability to improvise are similar to Croucher. Missouri has been making a strong push, though, so it will be interesting to see where he ends up.
Running backs
- No. 1 RB Kemon Spell, McKeesport, PA. (Georgia commit)
- No. 2 RB David Gabriel Georges, Quebec, Canada
- No. 3 RB Myson Johnson-Cook, East St. Louis, IL.
- No. 4 RB Landen Williams-Callis, Richmond, TX.
- No. 5 RB Tyson Robinson, Jackson, MS.
- No. 8 RB Cedarian McMiller, Tyler, TX. (Oregon commit)
- No. 9 RB, Ty Keys, Poplarville, MS.
- No. 11 RB Moonie Gipson, Kennesaw, GA.
- No. 13 RB Elijah Kimble, Buffalo, NY.
- No. 15 RB Braden Tyson, Snellville, GA.
The Rebels would love to land Robinson and Keys, both Mississippi natives. Ole Miss has made some strong moves in Key’s recruitment, but it’s currently battling with Mississippi State for the No. 8-ranked tailback in the class.
Robinson will take a bit more work, as will the rest of the backs on the list. Tennessee and Mississippi State have been quite active in his recruitment, and seem to be leading for now, but Golding will hope to change that rather quickly.
If the Rebels were able to land the two, those in Oxford could witness a powerful duo. Robinson, at 5-foot-9, 195 pounds, would provide Ole Miss with stock and power, while Keys, at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds, would provide length and speed.
With Spell, the top running back in the class, already committed, it will take a lot of effort from Ole Miss or any other school to flip him. However, Georges is still on the table and would be an outstanding addition if Golding could manage to land him.
Wide receivers
- No. 1 WR Monshun Sales, Indianapolis, IN.
- No. 2 WR Easton Royal, New Orleans, LA. (Texas commit)
- No. 4 WR Eric McFarland, Las Vegas, NV.
- No. 5 WR Xavier Sabb, Glassboro, NJ.
- No. 8 WR Kesean Bowman, Nashville, TN. (Tennessee commit)
- No. 9 WR Benny Easter Jr., Humble, TX. (Texas Tech commit)
- No. 10 WR Osani Gayles, Tracy, CA.
- No. 11 WR Quintin Hale, Corona, CA. (USC commit)
- No. 12 WR Jaden Upshaw, Leesburg, GA.
- No. 14 WR Julius Jones, Fort Lauderdale, FL.
- No. 15 WR Quintin Burrell, Chicago, IL.
The Rebels have been shooting towards the top of the class this cycle in hopes of securing a top playmaker in the class. Ole Miss hasn’t made a huge impact yet. Royal and Easter are both top prospects set to visit Oxford over the summer; although, the pair already committed elsewhere.
So far, Golding and the staff have been targeting additional receiver recruits, including the No. 23-rated receiver in Whitley Miguel, plus a few other three-stars, many of whom are set to visit in the coming months as well.
Tight ends
- No. 1 TE Ahmad Hudson, Ruston, LA.
- No. 2 TE Jaxon Dollar, Denver, NC.
- No. 3 TE Seneca Driver, Danville, KY. (Oklahoma commit)
- No. 4 TE Brock Williams, Libertyville, IL.
- No. 5 TE Rahzario Edwards, Sacramento, CA.
- No. 6 TE Jack Brown, Saint Charles, MO. (Missouri commit)
- No. 12 TE Jordan Karhoff, Columbus, OH.
- No. 13 TE Colt Lumpris, Tolland, CT. (Alabama commit)
- No. 15 TE Zac Fares, Las Vegas, NV.
- No. 16 TE Grant Haviland, Milton, GA.
Golding and company would love to steal Hudson out of the Boot, but the Tigers are the strong favorites as of now. However, Ole Miss is the most recent and one of the few schools that Hudson has visited early on.
But that may not matter; the Rebels may like to land two if possible, but Ole Miss has been playing a major factor in Edwards’ recruitment. He’s also visited Ole Miss twice recently, with one visit to Oregon and USC prior.
Ole Miss isn’t actively recruiting any tight ends out of Mississippi, so it will be looking to make a splash with a big addition from out of state. Edwards would be an outstanding addition if the Rebels were able to beat out the Trojans and Ducks.
Offensive tackle
- No. 1 OT Mark Matthews, Fort Lauderdale, FL.
- No. 2 OT Kennedy Brown, Houston, TX.
- No. 3 OT Caden Moss, Jackson, MS.
- No. 4 OT Kaeden Penny, Bixby, OK. (Oklahoma commit)
- No. 10 OT Joshua Sam-Epelle, Douglasville, GA.
- No. 13 OT Kelsey Adams, Atlanta, GA. (Georgia commit)
- No. 15 OT Kaeden Scott, San Antonio, TX. (Texas A&M commit)
- No. 18 OT Brian Swanson, Dallas, TX.
- No. 19 DeMarrion Johnson, Tyler, TX. (Texas A&M commit)
- No. 21 OT Jimmy Kalis, Pittsburgh, PA.
With three of the top tackles already committed, and the rest seemingly leaning towards their respective in-state schools, the Rebels will have their work cut out for them on the recruiting trail. However, one recruit stands out more than others.
Moss, the No. 1 recruit out of Mississippi, would be an absolute statement on the recruiting trail for Golding in his young tenure as head coach. The 6-foot-5, 295-pound lineman is a unit that would instill fear in most defenders.
Ole Miss seems to be the leading factor in his recruitment, but the Rebels have also been making significant pushes for four-star tackles Antonio Berry and Li’Marcus Jones, and three-stars DJ Dotson and Corderro McDaniel, all of whom are Mississippi natives.
The four-star ratings of Berry and Jones definitely speak for themselves, though, as both are extremely talented with the potential to earn that fifth star before the class of 2027 rankings are finalized after the 2026 season.
Interior lineman
- No. 2 IOL Albert Simien, Lake Charles, LA.
- No. 4 IOL Ismael Camara, Gilmer, TX.
- No. 6 IOL Jordan Agbanoma, Loganville, GA.
- No. 8 IOL Jatori Williams, Phenix Xity, AL.
- No. 12 IOL Peyton Miller, Anna, TX.
- No. 13 IOL Jackson Roper, Englewood, CO.
- No. 15 IOL Qua Ford, Texarkana, TX. (SMU commit)
- No. 17 IOL Reed Ramsier, Orlando, FL.
- No. 21 IOL Antonio Keefer, Memphis, TN.
- No. 39 IOL Mason Halliman, Frankfort, IL.
Ole Miss has also been targeting recruits to play on the interior line, specifically identifying Keefer as one that it would like to see get pen to paper alongside Moss by the time signing day comes around, which is still a ways away.
Keefer, who Ole Miss is currently battling with Mississippi State for a commit, would be a perfect pairing to have on the line with Moss. The 6-foot-4, 295-pound lineman has taken most of his visits to Starkville, and most recently made a trip to Ohio State.
The Rebels will certainly fight hard for the duo, but will still take some shots at many other top prospects and hope to get many of them on campus sometime soon. One thing is certain, though: Ole Miss needs to do everything in its power to land Moss.
