Former Ole Miss Wide Receiver Laquon Treadwell Re-Signs with Indianapolis Colts
Former Ole Miss wide receiver Laquon Treadwell has re-signed with the Indianapolis Colts, the team announced on Saturday, and I couldn’t be happier.

Look, Treadwell was a childhood hero for me. He is undoubtedly one of the most memorable receivers in Ole Miss history. With nearly 2,400 yards and 21 touchdowns in his college career, Treadwell was a legend for the Rebels.
In addition to all the spectacular catches he made, he is also perhaps remembered by Rebel fans for one of the worst injuries I have ever seen. In a game against Auburn, Treadwell shattered his leg. He would miss the rest of the season, one in which he had recorded 632 yards through nine games.
Drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, Treadwell was a big reason why I became a Vikings fan, He has bounced around the league playing for the Falcons, Jaguars, Seahawks, Ravens, and Colts. His best year in the league came in 2021 with the Jaguars, where he tallied 434 yards and a touchdown.
Throughout his time in the league, Treadwell has proven to be a very solid special teams player, one of the key reasons why the Colts decided to re-sign him. The details of his contract have not been released yet, but it seems as if the 30-year old wide receiver has finally found a second home.
As someone who was kind enough to take a picture with me as a child, a moment that cemented my fandom for life, he has always been considered one of the kindest and most respectful players in the league. I am excited to see what his role could be in a receiver room that just lost one of the best receivers in Michael Pittman Jr.
Obviously, as a journalist, I try to be as unbiased as possible, but Treadwell is someone I will always look fondly upon and root for no matter what.
