Trinidad Chambliss Opens as Early Favorite for Heisman Next Season with Trading Giant Kalshi

by | Feb 15, 2026 | Football | 0 comments

OXFORD, Miss. With Trinidad Chambliss winning a preliminary injunction this past week that will allow the quarterback to return to the Rebels for the 2026, he opened as the favorite to win the Heisman, according to Kalshi. Currently, he’s sitting at number three.

Now at the moment, Trinidad’s name has not been posted in the preseason Heisman odds at the major sportsbooks, but according to Kalshi, he currently has the third-best percentage with ITS traders at 10 percent.

Arch Manning is in first with 16 percent, and Notre Dame’s CJ Carr in second at 13 percent. Chambliss opened in first at 16 percent. Now, these odds don’t necessarily mean anything, as predictive odds are often wrong (Manning in 2025), but it paints a nice picture of the court of public opinion regarding the prestigious trophy.

Carr and Manning are the current co-leaders on the listed Heisman boards as Trinidad and his fans await his inclusion. According to FanDuel, Carr is first and Manning second in the odds.

You may be asking yourself, how can Chambliss win the award next year? Well, he is returning to a team that is relatively the same, as Ole Miss didn’t lose that many players and replaced the ones that they did lose. Head coach Pete Golding’s transfer portal class for 2026 finished as the No. 2 class in the nation, according to 247Sports.

This same team was one play away from the National Championship last year, and is looking to repeat that success in Golding’s first official year as the head coach.

This upcoming season is a gauntlet for the Rebels, however, as they have to play some of the best teams in the SEC, with LSU, Florida, Texas, and Georgia on their schedule, just to name a few.

The obvious caveat to all of this Heisman talk is that Ole Miss has to be in contention this season, which is not a guarantee. But, should they have a repeat of their success, and Chambliss can repeat with his numbers (No. 1 in the SEC in passing yards, etc.), there is no reason why he wouldn’t be in New York for the ceremony.

There is a real possibility that New York could be on Island Time by the end of next season, with Chambliss having another outstanding year and Ole Miss being a top contender next season. It will be interesting to see how Chambliss and the rest of the Rebel squad respond after last year’s success.

For college football fans everywhere, his spot with the bookmakers will make for some interesting conversation heading into 2026.
