OXFORD, Miss. — Third-generation Rebel and All-State wide receiver William Jones of Briarcrest Christian School (Tenn.) has signed with Ole Miss as a member of the 2026 recruiting class. Jones announced his commitment to the Rebels on Wednesday afternoon.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound prospect is the son of former Ole Miss safety and current executive director of The Grove Collective, Walker Jones, continuing a strong family legacy in Oxford.

Jones put together an outstanding senior season for Briarcrest, finishing with 792 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns on 38 receptions. He played a key role in helping the Saints finish second in the Division II-AAA West and advance to the quarterfinals of the state playoffs. He showcased his big-play ability throughout the year, averaging an impressive 20.8 yards per reception, and his performance earned him a spot on the 2025 TSWA All-State Football First Team.

Over the course of his career at Briarcrest Christian, Jones established himself as one of the program’s top offensive threats. He wrapped up his high school career with 1,421 receiving yards, 82 receptions, and 22 touchdowns.

Jones is part of Ole Miss’ February high school signing group, joining fellow wide receiver Case Thomas out of Madison, Mississippi. The pair adds to a talented and deep receiving corps under wide receivers coach L’Damian Washington. With his lineage, production, and skill set, Jones arrives in Oxford well-positioned to develop and thrive at the next level with the Rebels.
