The FBI is offering a reward up to $20,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of individual(s) in the murder of Corey Adams. Federal and local law enforcement agencies are offering the reward as they continue investigating the killing of Ole Miss freshman football player Adams, who was fatally shot last summer in the Memphis area.

The FBI’s Nashville Field Office, through its Memphis Resident Agency, is working alongside the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office to gather information related to Adams’ death, which occurred on the night of July 19, 2025, in Cordova, Tennessee.
According to investigators, Adams was attending a pool party at a private residence with several fellow Ole Miss football players when a black Nissan sedan passed by the home. Shots were fired from the vehicle into the group outside. Adams and multiple others were struck during the incident. Adams later died from his injuries.
After Adams’ murder, Ole Miss football posted this:
Adams’ defensive line coach Randall Joyner also posted a heartfelt goodbye to his young player.
Following the Rebels’ win over Georgia in the Sugar Bowl in the college football playoffs, defensive lineman Will Echoles remembered his fallen teammate and recognized Adams’ mother.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the shooting, has information about the vehicle involved, or knows anything that could help identify those responsible to come forward.
