Ole Miss, Pete Golding add third portal commitment in Nevada DE Jonathan Maldonado

OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss head coach Pete Golding has picked up another commitment, the Rebels’ third of the portal window that opened January 2, as Nevada transfer defensive lineman Jonathan Maldonado has signed with Ole Miss. This was first reported by ESPN’s Max Olson.

Maldonado earned All-Mountain West honorable mention this season after recording 38 tackles, nine tackles for loss, five sacks and the game-winning interception return for a touchdown against Sacramento State.

He finished with an elite 85.8 pass rush grade (PFF), and he brings length and bend off the edge.

Maldonado has spent the last four seasons with the Wolf Pack and has one year of college eligibility remaining.
