Late Saturday evening, 2026 3-star defensive lineman Jamarion Owens from Raleigh, Mississippi committed to Ole Miss. The 6-foot-2, 270-pound defensive lineman, the 3A Mr. Football, recorded 115 tackles, 13 sacks, eight fumble recoveries, and seven tackles for loss across his three seasons for Raleigh High.

Pete Golding and staff have been recruiting very heavily on the defensive side in the transfer portal, which was expected with Golding at the helm now. Through the portal and the high school ranks, the Rebels have landed top defensive linemen such as Jehiem Oatis (portal), Michai Boireau (portal), and Deuce Geralds (high school). Alongside these commits are the the members of the defensive ine the Rebels’ are retaining such as: Kam Franklin, Jamarious Brown, Princewill Umanmielen, and Will Echoles.

Defensive line coach Randall Joyner is among the best in the business. He has developed NFL talent such as Sam Williams, Jared Ivey, Walter Nolan, and Princely Umanmielen, to name a few. Owens has all the tools and potential to thrive as a part of the Rebels’ defensive unit.
