Ole Miss defensive end Da’Shawn Womack enters transfer portal

OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss defensive end Da’Shawn Womack is set to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal per Hayes Fawcett.

A Baltimore native, Womack played his high school football at St. Frances Academy, where he emerged as one of the nation’s top recruits. During his senior season, he totaled 48 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, and five fumble recoveries. His production earned him five-star status, a top-40 national ranking in the 2023 recruiting class, and recognition as the No. 1 player in the state of Maryland.

Womack committed to LSU out of high school and spent his first two collegiate seasons with the Tigers. Over 20 games, he recorded 23 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and four pass deflections.

He transferred to Ole Miss during the 2025 transfer portal cycle. In his lone season with the Rebels, Womack appeared in 11 games, finishing with 27 tackles, two sacks, and one forced fumble.

His best performance came in Ole Miss’ 38–19 Egg Bowl victory over Mississippi State, where the junior recorded four tackles, one sack, and a forced fumble.

Parks Burcham

Parks Burcham is a sophomore at the University of Mississippi. He is majoring in Journalism, emphasis in Sports Media, with a minor in Sports Management. He is originally from Booneville, Mississippi and graduated high school from Jumpertown Attendance Center.His favorite sports are basketball and football. He chose this path because he has always been extremely interested in the sports world. Parks enjoys all aspects of the game and hopes to do great work in this field.
