OXFORD, Miss. — Former Florida State defensive back Edwin Joseph Jr. committed to Ole Miss Saturday, per Hayes Fawcett. Joseph Jr. is rated as a four-star transfer prospect and is ranked as the No. 4 safety in the NCAA Transfer Portal.

The highly-recruited, two-way prospect from Chaminade-Madonna Prep played both wide receiver and defensive back in high school before joining the Seminoles as a member of the class of 2023.
In 2025, his redshirt sophomore season, Joseph Jr. recorded 37 total tackles(19 solo tackles), five pass breakups, three interceptions, and one forced fumble. He is known for his playmaking ability and dynamic coverage in the backfield. Having played wide receiver, he is able to make good reads and strong plays on the ball.
