NEW ORLEANS — Ole Miss football will release its final Sugar Bowl availability report 90 minutes before kickoff against Georgia. With the game set to start at 7:00 p.m. CT, the final report should be out at approximately 5:30 p.m. CT.
In Wednesday night’s availability report, the Rebels had three players listed as ‘out’ and three marked as ‘probable.’ The players who are ‘out ‘are: CB Cedrick Beavers, LB Raymond Collins, and OL John Wayne Oliver. The players who are now listed as ‘probable’ are: TE Caleb Odom, RB Kewan Lacy, and TE Dae’Quan Wright.
Lacy injured his shoulder in the Rebels’ playoff win over Tulane. He was observed wearing a protective brace in practices in Oxford; however, media was not allowed in for the contact portion of practice, so we are not sure if he went live against the defense. That being said, in Tuesday’s Sugar Bowl Media Day, Kewan said he is all good.
“It was just a little stinger in my AC joint,” Lacy noted.
As for Wright, he’s been dealing with injuries throughout the season but continues to be a gamer, ready to do what he needs to help the team.
Georgia’s availability report as of Wednesday night includes:
Out
OLB: #0 Gabe Harris Jr.
DB: #8 Joenel Aguero
DB: #31 Kyron Jones
DL: #44 Jordan Hall
OL: #74 Drew Bobo
The final Availability Report will be released at 5:30 p.m. CT and we’ll bring you the final update.
