Earlier this week, the 6-foot-4 lineman from Warren Easton High School in New Orleans decommitted and reopened his recruitment. He was the only interior offensive lineman in LSU’s 2026 class before newly appointed head coach Lane Kiffin managed to secure a commitment from former Ole Miss offensive lineman commit Ryan Miret.
Chapman is currently ranked as the No. 77 overall interior offensive lineman for 2026 and stands as the No. 36 overall prospect from Louisiana. Warren Easton has established itself as a notable program for developing elite talent, particularly along the offensive line.

Chapman’s remarkable versatility positions him as an asset across any position on the line. His impressive footwork and agile hands make him a formidable force at the point of attack, allowing him to adapt to various challenges on the field.
With Chapman’s commitment, Ole Miss now has a total of 18 signees in its 2026 class. The Rebels are expected to continue pursuing additional prospects as the early signing period concludes today.
Welcome home, Jalan Chapman!
