Ole Miss stays at No. 7 in Coaches Top 25 after win over The Citadel
OXFORD, Miss. — After a 49-0 win over The Citadel Saturday, Ole Miss football (9-1 overall, 5-1 SEC) remains at No. 7 in this week’s Coaches Poll Top 25. The top seven teams remain the same from last week.
As expected, the Rebels totally rolled against the Bulldogs, amassing 603 yards of total offense (151 rushing, 452 passing) to Citadel’s 106 yards. The Bulldogs only managed five first downs, while Ole Miss picked up 35. The Citadel was held to 23 yards passing and 83 yards on the ground, managing just a 2.1 yards-per-play average.
There are nine Southeastern Teams in this week’s rankings: Texas A&M (3), Alabama (4), Georgia (5), Ole Miss (7), Texas (10) Oklahoma (10), Vanderbilt (14), Tennessee (20), and Missouri (24).
