Notes and Notables: Ole Miss beats Florida, 34-24
OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss defeated Florida, 34-24, Saturday night in Vaught-Hemingway. The series between the Rebels and Gators is now tied with 13 wins apiece alongside two ties. Saturday’s win marks Ole Miss’ first win against Florida since 2008, and its first in Oxford since 2002.

SERIES INFORMATION
• This was the 27th meeting all-time between the Rebels and Gators, the first in Oxford since 2020.
• The series is now tied 13-13-2, while Florida’s lead in Oxford is now 6-3.
• This marks Ole Miss’ first win vs. Florida since 2008, and its first in Oxford since 2002.

• Today’s attendance was 68,138, the largest attendance ever at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
• Ole Miss is now 313-116-8 (.725) all-time in Oxford (291-113-8 after vacated wins) … Under Lane Kiffin, the Rebels are 35-6 at Vaught-Hemingway, including a 35-3 mark since the start of the 2021 season and a 21-1 record since 2023.
• Ole Miss has reached 10 wins for only the 11th time in program history, the fourth under head coach Lane Kiffin.
• Kiffin is the first coach in Ole Miss history with three consecutive 10-win seasons, and he is now tied with John Vaught for the most 10-win seasons all-time at four.
• This marks the first eight-win home season in the history of Ole Miss football … Kiffin owns the only two other seasons with seven wins (2021, ’23).
OFFENSIVE NOTES
• RB Kewan Lacy ended the day with a career-high 224 and three rushing touchdowns on 31 carries, the eighth-most rushing yards in Ole Miss single-game history and the most by any Rebel rusher since Brandon Bolden vs. Fresno State in 2010 (228).
• Lacy scored his 17th, 18th and 19th rushing touchdowns of the season, breaking Quinshon Judkins’ prior record of 16 set in 2022.
• With his 19 scores, Lacy also broke the Ole Miss single-season all-purpose touchdown record of 17 previously set four times by Quinshon Judkins (2022, ’23), Brandon Bolden (2010) and Deuce McAllister (2000).
• Lacy’s season line currently stands at 231 carries for 1,136 yards and 19 TD, moving him into fourth on the single-season charts in carries and sixth in rushing yards … Lacy is only the eighth Rebel rusher all-time to rush for 1,000 yards in a season, and this marks the 11th total occasion.
• Lacy’s 200-yard performance tonight is the first by a Rebel rusher since the Arkansas game in 2022, when Quinshon Judkins (214) and Zach Evans (207) both broke 200.
• Lacy’s 224 rushing yards are the third-most by an SEC player this season behind two performances by Missouri’s Ahmad Hardy (300 vs. Mississippi State, 250 vs. Louisiana).
• At 114 points this season, Lacy also broke the single-season Ole Miss record for most points by a non-kicker, and he sits fourth all-time behind kickers Caden Davis (129, 2024), Jonathan Nichols (124, 2003) and Gary Wunderlich (120, 2015).
• QB Trinidad Chambliss threw for 301 yards, one touchdown and one interception on a 26-of-35 line passing … Chambliss moved into 17th on the single-season passing list at Ole Miss (2,657), and his 311 yards of total offense moved him to 13th (3,101).
• This was the sixth 300-yard passing game of the season for Chambliss, giving him sole possession of fifth in Ole Miss single-season history.
• TE Dae’Quan Wright hauled in three catches for 36 yards, moving him into 3rd place in Ole Miss history among tight ends and surpassing 100 catches in his career.
• WR De’Zhaun Stribling hauled in his third touchdown of the season, the 20th of his overall career … Stribling led Ole Miss with 76 yards on four catches.
• Ole Miss’ 538 yards of total offense are the most allowed by a Florida team this season.
DEFENSIVE NOTES
• S Wydett Williams Jr. grabbed his third interception of the season, tying his career high season total … He also had a season-high eight tackles.
• DE Princewill Umanmielen dropped Florida QB DJ Lagway, giving him a team-leading 5.5 sacks this year.
• LB Suntarine Perkins had five tackles, one QB hurry and a career-high two pass breakups.
SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES
• K Lucas Carneiro was 2-of-2 on field goals, moving him into fifth in Ole Miss single-season history (21).
• Along with his 4-of-4 line on PATs, Carneiro’s 10 points today moves him to 106 on the year, which ranks seventh overall and sixth among kickers on the Ole Miss single-season lists.
• P Oscar Bird only had one punt
