OXFORD, Miss. — (Release) Ole Miss football defeated South Carolina, 30-14, Saturday night at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. The Rebels move to 8-1 overall, 5-1 in the Southeastern Conference.

SERIES INFORMATION
• This was the 19th all-time meeting between the Rebels and Gamecocks dating back to 1947, the 10th since South Carolina joined the SEC in 1992.
• Ole Miss leads the series 11-8, including a 5-3 mark in Oxford.
• Head coach Lane Kiffin is now 4-0 all-time vs. South Carolina, 3-0 with the Rebels and 1-0 during his time at Tennessee in 2009.
• Ole Miss has won seven of the last 11, but South Carolina has won three of the last six.

• Today’s attendance was 67,491, the seventh largest crowd in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium history.
• Ole Miss is now 311-116-8 (.724) all-time in Oxford (289-113-8 after vacated wins) … Under Lane Kiffin, the Rebels are 33-6 at Vaught-Hemingway, including a 33-3 mark since the start of the 2021 season and a 19-1 record since 2023.
• The Rebels are 8-1 for the third time in the Kiffin era alongside the 2022 and 2023 campaigns.
OFFENSIVE NOTES
• Ole Miss’ 258 rushing yards are its most against an SEC opponent since rushing for 313 vs. LSU in 2023.
• The Ole Miss offensive line did not allow a sack for the fourth time this season … The Rebels entered today third in the SEC at eight total sacks allowed.
• RB Kewan Lacy ran for a career-high 167 yards and one touchdown on 24 carries … Lacy’s 167 rushing yards are the most by a Rebel since Quinshon Judkins against LSU in 2023.
• Lacy has 13 rushing touchdowns this season, tying him for seventh on the Ole Miss single-season list all-time … Lacy has also moved into 20th on the single-season rushing yards list at 863.
• QB Trinidad Chambliss finished with 159 passing yards and one score through the air alongside 59 rushing yards and one TD on the ground … At 2,458 yards, Chambliss has moved into 19th all-time at Ole Miss in single-season total offense.
• TE Dae’Quan Wright had two catches for 32 yards and one touchdown, the eighth of his career … Wright is now tied for fifth all-time among Rebel tight ends in receiving touchdowns, eighth in receptions (51) and fifth in receiving yards (830).
• WR De’Zhaun Stribling’s two catches for 30 yards, moving him beyond 2,500 in his overall career (2,520).
DEFENSIVE NOTES
• Ole Miss set season lows in total yards allowed (230) and rushing yards allowed (50), the fewest total yards allowed to an SEC opponent since Vanderbilt in 2023 (229) and the fewest rushing yards yielded to an SEC opponent since the 2024 Egg Bowl (39).
• The Rebels recorded a season-high six sacks, the most by an Ole Miss defense since notching eight vs. Oklahoma in 2024 … Seven different Rebels had their hand in a sack.
• Ole Miss also had a season high eight tackles for loss, the most since the 2024 Egg Bowl (eight).
• Ole Miss had a season-high two interceptions off South Carolina QB LaNorris Sellers, marking his first career multiple INT game.
• LB Suntarine Perkins secured his first sack of the season, ending the day with 1.5 total to push him to 15.5 in his career, good for 10th in Ole Miss career history.
• Perkins also had an interception, the second of his career … Perkins ended tied for the team lead with six total tackles and one QB hurry alongside his sacks and his INT.
• S Wydett Williams Jr. scored his second pick of the season, the fifth of his overall career … Williams Jr. also had five tackles.
• LB Princewill Umanmielen added another solo sack, giving him an Ole Miss team-high 4.5 this season.
SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES
• K Lucas Carneiro went 3-for-3 on both field goals and PATs … His 12 points today move him to 89 on the season, good for 12th all-time on the Ole Miss single-season list.
• P Oscar Bird ran 18 yards to gain a first down off of a fake punt … It’s the first gained first down off a fake punt since 2023 in a game against Georgia.
• Bird punted three times for 112 yards and a long of 42.
• RB Logan Diggs returned a kick for an Ole Miss team-long 42 yards.
• S Andy Jaffe recorded the first fumble recovery of his career on a muffed punt.
