‘Can’t Wait:’ Princewill Umanmielen shares his thoughts on crucial weekend showdown vs Georgia

OXFORD, Miss. — The No. 5 Ole Miss Rebels are coming off a gritty 24-21 win over the Washington State Cougars last Saturday, but bigger tests are ahead for Ole Miss.

Lane Kiffin and his squad will travel east this week into Athens, Georgia to take on the No. 9 Georgia Bulldogs with ESPN College GameDay in attendance.

This has led to a lot of national media attention to the game which can creep into players mind.

The media spoke with Rebels’ defensive end Princewill Umanmielen on Tuesday as he shared his thoughts on the upcoming top-10 conference matchup.

Getting to show the world what we can do (in a) top 10 match up. Like I said, it’s about dominating and seeing who can outlast the most.

Umanmielen on what he is most excited for this weekend.

Umanmielen also alluded to how this game can be crucial heading towards a possible appearance in the SEC championship

“They are ready to play,” Umanmielen said of the Bulldogs. “They want to get the championship just as bad. So, it’s just about going one and and attacking and dominating every play.”

Finally, Umanmielen was asked about Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton.

“He’s a great quarterback. He’s their leader. He’s like their rock. He knows how to get the ball extend plays, get the ball to where he needs. So it’s going to be a great matchup, great competition”
