Women’s Hoops Heavyweight: Nation’s No. 15 Prospect Lola Lampley on Official Visit to Ole Miss

OXFORD, Miss. —One of the crown jewels of the 2026 women’s basketball class arrives in Oxford today.
Lola Lampley is no ordinary visitor. The 6-foot-2 power forward from Lawrence Central High in Indianapolis is rated No. 15 overall in the 2026 class by 247Sports, the No. 1 player in Indiana, and the No. 5 power forward in the country. She’s already got a serious national pedigree, and her official visit to Ole Miss this weekend is a big moment for the Rebels’ program.
Her offer sheet reads like a dream list — Ole Miss, LSU, South Carolina, UCLA, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Georgia Tech, NC State, Arizona, and more. Coaches see what she brings: scoring inside 15 feet, defense, versatility, off-the-dribble creation, and a presence that stretches the floor in a way that demands attention.

Lampley isn’t just turning heads because of high school hype. She’s already competed on the world stage: gold medals with the USA Basketball U17 squad in 2024, and a U16 Americas gold in 2023. In her USA U17 run, she averaged 2.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.9 assists over six games — showing she can contribute in myriad ways even in limited roles on elite teams.
Here’s a key twist: her sister, Jaylah Lampley, is already in the SEC, having signed with Mississippi State in 2024. Ole Miss was in Jaylah’s final list, too, so this visit has an extra layer of familiarity and intrigue.
As of today, Lola’s official visit begins in Oxford, and she is joined by Chamiah Francis, another top-tier 2026 recruit who is also one of the nation’s best. The weekend ahead will be about more than official visits — it’s about culture, energy, connection, and showing a player of Lola’s caliber that Oxford is the place she wants to be and head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin is the coach who can help her achieve her goals.
