
Ole Miss moves up one spot in Coaches Poll after road win over Kentucky

OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss checks in at No. 13 in the Coaches Poll released September 7, moving up one spot from No. 14 after a win in the Rebels’ opening SEC game over Kentucky in Lexington.
Redshirt sophomore quarterback Austin Simmons struggled early, throwing two interceptions as he and Ole Miss were held scoreless in the first quarter. After shaking off the picks, Simmons settled in, finishing 13-of-24 for 235 yards, no touchdowns and the two interceptions.
Sitting at 2-0, overall, and 1-0 in league play, Ole Miss returns home to host Arkansas this coming Saturday. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m.
There are nine SEC teams in this week’s top 25.
