Ole Miss Football’s Diego Pounds Named SEC Co-Offensive Lineman of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.– (Release) Ole Miss football senior offensive tackle Diego Pounds has been named a co-winner of the SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week award, as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.

Pounds helped lead a potent Ole Miss offensive attack in a hard-fought SEC win over Arkansas last week, starting at left tackle and playing all 74 snaps for a Rebel offense that tallied 475 yards of total offense and protected first-time starting quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, who threw for 353 yards.

Pounds was part of a Rebel offensive line group that allowed just one sack on the night, and was part of a red zone charge that ended a perfect 7-for-7.
