Ole Miss Availability Update for Thursday | Latest on Austin Simmons’ status as Rebels prepare for Arkansas

OXFORD, Miss. — The Rebels’ SEC home opener is almost here, but all eyes remain on quarterback Austin Simmons as Ole Miss prepares to host Arkansas Saturday night inside Vaught-Hemingway.
The redshirt sophomore suffered an ankle injury in last week’s road win at Kentucky. While he exited late in the fourth quarter, Simmons did return to take the final snap in victory formation of the 30-23 triumph. He indicated postgame he would be able to play against the Razorbacks.
That being said, Simmons was listed as Probable in Wednesday’s first player availability report of the week; however, his name was absent from Thursday’s update.
Meanwhile, Arkansas transfer cornerback Jaylon Braxton remains Questionable.
Wide receiver Traylon Ray remains listed as Out.
On the brighter side for the Rebels tight end Luke Hasz continues trending toward his debut in red and blue, as does not appear in the availability report, so we might see the former Razorback possibly facing his old team. Starting tight end Dae’Quan Wright has also cleared the availability list, another boost for the offense.
Additionally, running back Kewan Lacy, wide receivers Harrison Wallace II and Deuce Alexander, are also no longer on the availability report after having been listed as Probable on Wednesday.
