
Ole Miss Football Reveals Uniform for Season Opener vs. Georgia State

OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss football on Thursday revealed the Rebels’ uniform for the season opener against Georgia State this Saturday. Lane Kiffin’s team will take the field in a classic: navy helmet, grey pants and red jersey.

This game will kick off the 131st season of football at Ole Miss, and the Rebels are 96-29-5 (.758) in season openers, having taken 23 of the last 28 on the field.
Lane Kiffin is beginning his sixth season at Ole Miss and 14th overall as a head coach, and he is 9-4 in season openers. At 44-18, Kiffin ranks tied for third with David Cutcliffe on the all-time wins list at Ole Miss.
The Rebels are 27-3 in their last 29 home games and 13-1 since the start of the 2023 season. Dating back to 1944, Ole Miss is 70-17 (.805) vs. non-conference opponents going back to a 38-0 win over Tulane. The Rebs begin the season No. 15 in the Coaches poll and No. 21 in the AP poll.

QB Austin Simmons officially takes over as Ole Miss’ signal caller after the record-breaking career of QB Jaxson Dart, while preseason All-America LB Suntarine Perkins (14.0) is one sack away from cracking the all-time top-10 at Ole Miss.
The Rebels and Panthers kick off at 6:45 p.m. CT, and the game will be broadcast on SEC Network.
