Ole Miss Players Set to Participate in MLB Draft Combine Ahead of July Draft

OXFORD, Miss. — As Ole Miss continues shaping its roster for 2026, several key Rebels will be getting a closer look from Major League scouts this week.

In addition to building through the transfer portal, the Rebels will keep one eye on the upcoming MLB Draft Combine, where juniors Luke Hill and Mason Morris will represent Ole Miss, alongside newly committed Grand Canyon transfer Grant Richardson.

All three will participate in the five-day event held June 17-21 at Chase Field, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The combine features a select group of top draft-eligible players, with 300 prospects ranked by MLB organizations receiving invitations, along with 50 additional standouts.

Luke Hill

Hill enters the combine after delivering one of the most consistent offensive performances for the Rebels this season. In his second year in Oxford, the versatile infielder led the team with a .336 batting average (minimum 20 at-bats), collecting 82 hits, 11 extra-base hits, eight home runs, and driving in 40 runs. His disciplined approach at the plate resulted in 46 walks and a .459 on-base percentage — all while anchoring the Rebels’ lineup throughout the season.

Mason Morris

On the mound, Morris emerged as one of the biggest bright spots of the 2025 campaign. In 19 appearances, the right-hander posted a 3.29 ERA across 54.2 innings, piling up 78 strikeouts while holding opposing hitters to just a .220 batting average. His breakout season put him firmly on the radar heading into draft season.

Grant Richardson

Meanwhile, Richardson — who recently announced his transfer commitment to Ole Miss — will also showcase his skills in Arizona. The left-hander from Grand Canyon adds another intriguing arm to both the Rebels’ 2026 pitching staff and the draft conversation.

While all three prospects still hold eligibility to return to college, next month’s MLB Draft could play a big role in determining who ultimately takes the field in Oxford next spring.
