Listed as the No. 2 defensive lineman in the nation and the No. 3 overall player in Tennessee, Pittman adds serious size (6‑5, 300 lbs) and athletic upside to defensive line coach Randall Joyner’s unit. Oh, and he also plays right tackle.
Pittman notched 43 tackles, 15 TFLs and eight sacks last season and helped lead MASE to its first Class 1A state title.

Pittman chose Pete Golding’s defense the Rebels over a host of teams, including Georgia, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Mississippi State, Arkansas, Florida, Florida State, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State. He marks commitment No. 3 in Ole Miss’s swiftly rising 2027 class, joining fellow blue-chip talents Li’Marcus Jones (OL) and Trae Collins (DB).
What Pittman’s Commit Means
Size plus Power: At 300 lbs and 6‑5, he adds both bulk and explosiveness to a DL room already churning with talent.
High Motor: His energy and relentless playing style caught the staff’s attention during camp—exactly what the Rebels look for.
Recruiting Signal: Securing a top-5 Tennessee DL prospect away from SEC competition is no small feat—it shows where Ole Miss stands in national recruiting, too.
The Rebel Blueprint in Action
Ole Miss has received commitments from some elite prospects in both the 2026 and 2027 classes—underscoring the program’s rising momentum under Kiffin and staff. With Pittman joining, this 2027 group is trending toward impact status early.
Ole Miss continues to target elite recruits ahead of summer camp weekends. With Pittman in the fold, the future defensive line battle just got more competitive.
