Championship Sunday! Ole Miss vs. Vanderbilt: How to watch, start time, TV channel, odds

HOOVER, Ala. — What began as a quest to solidify postseason hopes has turned into a full-blown championship run for the Diamond Rebels.

After knocking off the top-ranked team in the country Saturday with a 2-0 shutout over LSU, No. 17 Ole Miss has punched its ticket to the SEC Tournament Championship Game, where the Rebels will face off against a familiar foe—No. 9 Vanderbilt—on Sunday at Noon CT.

Vandy is currently a -160 favorite on the moneyline with the over/under sitting at 10.5.

It’s a rematch several years in the making — at least in Hoover. The last time Ole Miss reached the SEC title game in 2019, it was the Commodores who edged the Rebels in a heartbreaking 11-10 final. And just a year before that, Ole Miss claimed the 2018 crown by steamrolling LSU 9-1 in the championship.

This time, the Rebels are writing a new chapter.

Running the Gauntlet

The way Ole Miss has arrived at Championship Sunday is downright impressive.

The Rebels have taken down No. 15 Florida, No. 5 Arkansas, and No. 1 LSU in succession. Arkansas and LSU are also the top two favorites in Vegas to win the College World Series — and the Rebels beat them in back-to-back days. Now, they have a shot at yet another Top 10 win with No. 9 Vanderbilt waiting in the wings. The Commodores also boast the No. 1 RPI in the nation—making Sunday a golden opportunity for Ole Miss to strengthen its case for a home Regional.

After Saturday’s win, head coach Mike Bianco believes his team must concentrate on itself and not the opponent.

We just want to continue to play well. I know it sounds like coach-speak, but it’s really not about who you’re playing. We feel we’re pretty good, as well, and when we play well, we can play with anybody in the country. One of the things we’ve talked about for a long time now is can we play consistently well over a period of time? Baseball is a tough game to do that. But this team has done it now for a few weeks.

The Matchup: Ole Miss vs. Vanderbilt

These two teams met just last month in Oxford, where Ole Miss took two of three games from Vandy. The Rebels (40-18) and Commodores (41-16) now meet again with a title on the line.

Tournament History and 2025 Statement

Picked to finish 15th in the SEC back in February, Ole Miss now finds itself one win away from hoisting its seventh SEC Tournament title—and its first in seven years.

The Rebels entered the tournament as the No. 7 seed after posting a 16-14 record in SEC play, marking the program’s first winning conference season since 2021. That same 2021 season, Ole Miss last won a game in Hoover—until this week.

Since then, the Rebels have made it clear: they’re not just happy to be here. They’re here to win the whole thing.
