
Transfer defensive back Ricky Fletcher returns home to the ‘Sip

OXFORD, Miss. — With the spring portal window closing in just a few short days, Ole Miss football has been securing some key pieces for the Rebels’ secondary. Head coach Lane Kiffin and defensive coordinator Pete Golding were certainly on top of things when South Alabama defensive back Ricky “Trenches” Fletcher entered the portal last Wednesday, and it was clear Ole Miss was ready to make a move.

After a quick visit to Oxford, Fletcher officially joined the roster by the end of the weekend. With 38 total tackles and 11 passes defended during his 2024 season with the Jaguars, he brings a much-needed boost to Ole Miss.

Returning home to the ‘Sip, the former Holmes County Central High School standout shared his excitement with us about joining the Rebels.
