Ole Miss Leaders Hit Road on Grove Collective Caravan

OXFORD, Miss. – (Release) Lane Kiffin and other Ole Miss coaches, student-athletes and leaders will visit fans throughout the region this spring with the launch of the Grove Collective Caravan, in partnership with the Ole Miss Alumni Association.
“We appreciate our collaboration with both the Grove Collective and the Alumni Association and the impact they have on the success of our teams,” said Ole Miss Vice Chancellor for Intercollegiate Athletics Keith Carter, who is among the speakers at each fan meeting. “With student-athletes joining our coaches and others in these events, we look forward to fans building an even stronger connection with our program at the meetings.”
The caravan’s kickoff will be part of Meet The Rebels Day on Saturday, April 12 in the Manning Center. The program, which will include Kiffin and other football coaches, will take place from a stage on the indoor field as players sign autographs and visit with fans. Festivities begin at 1 p.m.
Other stops on the Grove Collective Caravan include Houston (Texas) on April 22, Tupelo on April 23, Memphis on April 24, Gulfport on April 28and Jackson (Mississippi) on April 30. Additional meetings that feature other Rebel coaches could be announced later this spring.
“We are excited to team up with the athletics department and the alumni association to help drive membership for our organization and create excitement for the upcoming season,” said Walker Jones, Executive Director of the Grove Collective. “By including our student-athlete ambassadors in this type of tour for the first time, we hope to elevate the fan experience for the meetings. Grove Collective membership allows us to continue to lead in name, image and likeness by creating impactful partnerships for our student athletes.”
“This partnership should provide a great membership boost for both the Alumni Association and the Grove Collective,” said Kirk Purdom, Ole Miss Alumni Association Chief Executive Officer. “With the success of the Rebel Road Trip over the last 13 years, we are excited to relaunch with the format changes while continuing to connect with our alumni and friends in their own cities.”
All Grove Collective Caravan meetings are evening events. Details on venues and tickets will be released in the days ahead.
In addition to the speakers, the caravan will feature a social hour for local Rebel fans, including photo opportunities with the Golden Egg and other trophies. Fans will also enjoy refreshments, merchandise, posters, an exciting video look at the university and opportunities to learn more about The Grove Collective, the Alumni Association, the Athletics Foundation and the local alumni clubs.
