Kansas Transfer Guard AJ Storr Brings His Game to the SEC, Commits to Chris Beard and Ole Miss

OXFORD, Miss. – The Ole Miss Men’s Basketball team has officially earned its second commitment from the transfer portal, this one from yet another experienced Power Four player in AJ Storr.

The senior guard out of Kansas possesses an impressive 6-foot-7, 205-pound frame with the ability to be used in multiple different positions. This past season with the Jayhawks, Storr averaged 6.1 points per game and 1.7 rebounds, finding trouble fitting into the unique Bill Self-system.

The year prior at Wisconsin, however, Storr was incredible, nearly doubling his minutes played and scoring almost 17 points a night with the Badgers. Due to his production, Storr was named as a Second-Team All-Big Ten player following the 2023-24 season.

In his first year of college at St. John’s in 2022, AJ also found himself playing over 20 minutes per game, averaging 8.8 points and 3.8 rebounds with a 40% three-point shooting percentage. Having shown his potential in the Big East, Big Ten, and Big 12, the senior will have an opportunity to prove himself in the best conference in college basketball, the SEC.

This is Chris Beard’s second portal pickup following the addition of Corey Chest from LSU, looking to add several more players over the upcoming weeks. As always, be sure to stay tuned to The Rebel Walk for all of your Ole Miss sports needs.
