Former Ole Miss TE Caden Prieskorn Signs with Detroit as Undrafted Free Agent

OXFORD, Miss. — Although he was not taken in the 2025 NFL Draft, Ole Miss tight end Caden Prieskorn has signed an Undrafted Free Agent (UDFA) with the Detroit Lions, according to Fox Sports Jordan Schultz.

Prieskorn now joins one of the most dynamic offenses in the NFL and will work to make the 53-man roster.

College Career

After spending time as a Memphis Tiger, Prieskorn entered the NCAA transfer portal and soon committed to play for Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss.

The sure-handed Prieskorn was a productive player for the Rebels, catching 57 passes for 850 yards and seven touchdowns during his two seasons in Oxford, which spanned 23 games with 20 starts.

Among Ole Miss tight ends all-time, Prieskorn ended Rebel career ranked third in receiving yards (850), tied for sixth in touchdowns (7) and ranked seventh in receptions (57). Combined with his time at Memphis, Prieskorn ended his career with total receiving line of 112 catches for 1,531 yards and 14 touchdowns in 52 games played and 33 starts.

“It’s been pretty crazy (and) a cool journey with a lot of ups and downs,” Prieskorn said before the draft.

“Being a walk-on and working your way up then transferring. Other stuff like getting hurt and losing my dad has just been such an up-and-down roller coaster. I’m so thankful for everybody in this building (and) everybody I’ve come across throughout my journey in college football. I’m just blessed,” he added.
