Former Ole Miss EDGE Jared Ivey Signs with Seattle as UDFA

Former Ole Miss EDGE rusher Jared Ivey has signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 NFL Draft. While it’s inexplicable as to why the Suwanee, Georgia native went undrafted, what we do know is the Seahawks are getting an incredible player who is talented — and cerebral — on the field.

Collegiate Career
Beginning his college career at Georgia Tech, Ivey became an immediate threat to opposing offenses, appearing in 20 games over his first two seasons while recording 32 tackles. Though he was productive, his career took a large step forward when he transferred to Ole Miss in the 2022 winter portal cycle.
During his time in red and blue, Ivey notched 125 total tackles, 16 sacks, 26.5 tackles for loss, and five fumble recoveries, one of which was returned for a touchdown. In addition to expanding on his skillset, Ivey also grew into a crucial leadership role on the 2024 squad.

NFL Combine
Being one of 11 Ole Miss players to attend the NFL combine in Indianapolis, Ivey was not a participant in a majority of the basic skills tests but completed numerous interviews throughout the week and received official height, weight, arm, and hand measurements from the league.

His 6-foot-6, 274-pound frame allows him to work in several roles across the defensive line while utilizing his athleticism to make plays. There’s no question that if he stays healthy, Ivey can have one of the most productive NFL careers out of a wide group of defensive linemen in his draft class.
