Times set for Ole Miss men’s and women’s basketball second-round games

WACO — Ole Miss men’s and women’s basketball have both advanced to the second round of their respective NCAA Tournaments. Times have been set for their round-of-32 games, both on Sunday, March 23. The women will play at 3:00 p.m. CT in Waco, while the men tip off at 6:45 CT in Milwaukee.

Head coach Chris Beard’s No. 6-seed team will take on No. 3-seed Iowa State, while Coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin’s No. 5-seeded Rebels will play No. 4 seed Baylor.

On Friday, the men’s team was up on No. 11 seed North Carolina by 20 points before the Tar Heels surged back in the second half to make it 66-64, Rebels, with just 1:09 to play in the game. Fortunately, Ole Miss guard Sean Pedulla refused to lose, hitting a key three-pointer with 52 seconds left and making two critical free throws that sealed the thrilling 71-64 win for the Rebs.
