Portal King at Work: Lane Kiffin, Ole Miss offer North Alabama defensive back Ashaad Williams

OXFORD, Miss. – Portal king Lane Kiffin will likely be looking to add the finishing touches to his Ole Miss roster in the spring transfer cycle, which opens on April 16th and closes on April 25th. Currently, the Rebels are ranked No. 2 in the nation in team portal rankings.
As the opening date gets closer, more and more players are entering their names into the portal in search of a new home. For Ole Miss, one of those targeted players is graduate transfer Ashaad Williams out of North Alabama. Williams entered the portal on March 3rd with one year of eligibility and has received interest from Ole Miss, Kansas, Arkansas, and many others.

Standing at 6-foot-2, the Russellville, Alabama native recorded 10 pass breakups last season and tallied two interceptions. In his three-year career with the Lions, he also notched 54 total tackles.
With Pete Golding’s defense losing every starting defender in the secondary, the experience and size of Williams would make for a great addition to the room.
