Ole Miss Baseball’s Midweek Contest Against Southeastern Louisiana Canceled

OXFORD, Miss. – Due to the threat of inclement weather on Tuesday, Ole Miss Baseball’s midweek matchup with Southeastern Louisiana has been canceled. The game will not be rescheduled for a future date.
Wednesday’s game against Murray State will still be played as scheduled with first pitch set for 4 p.m.
Ole Miss completed the sweep of Wright State on Sunday afternoon with a 7-3 victory at Oxford-University Stadium/Swayze Field.
The Rebels had beaten the Raiders 9-1 and 8-3 in the prior two games of the weekend. In Sunday’s game the Rebels tallied eight hits from eight different players – Hayden Federico, Luke Hill, Ryan Moerman, Mitchell Sanford, Judd Utermark, Isaac Humphrey, Austin Fawley, and Will Furniss.
Pitcher Mason Morris (1-0) got his first win of the season after coming on to start the fifth in relief of the game’s starter Mason Nichols. Nichols notched a career-high 10 strikeouts in the game. The four Rebel pitchers in the game limited WSU to only five hits and seven total baserunners.
Ole Miss baseball moved up to No. 17 on Monday in this week’s D1Baseball poll. That’s up seven spots from last week’s No. 24.
