West Virginia Transfer Wide Receiver Traylon Ray Commits to Lane Kiffin, Ole Miss

OXFORD, Miss. — Former West Virginia transfer portal wide receiver Traylon Ray committed to Ole Miss Wednesday. He is the 18th portal commit for Lane Kiffin and the Rebels.

The 6-foot-1.5, 185-pound Ray was injured in the Mountaineers’ game against Baylor, but he did see action in 10 games this season, tallying 28 receptions for 426 yards and four touchdowns. He spent two seasons with West Virginia before entering the portal.

Ray was a four-star prospect out of North Florida Christian (Tallahassee, Fla.) in the 2023 recruiting class. He was ranked the No. 54 wide receiver in the country at the time and chose the Mountaineers over Florida State, Florida, Miami, Mississippi State and others.

Ole Miss is losing receivers Tre Harris and Jordan Watkins and, most likely, Juice Wells to the NFL Draft. The Rebels also saw Ayden Williams and Noreel White hit the portal this past week.

Ray is joined by Ole Miss transfer additions in the fall portal window: Caleb Odom (Alabama), Deuce Alexander (Wake Forest), and De’Zhaun Stribling (Oklahoma State)
