Davis takes over the running backs position at Georgia State for Will Healy who recently was named head coach at East Tennessee State.
Before he arrived on staff in Oxford, Davis served as the running backs coach at Western Kentucky.
He garnered experience at the high school level that has helped him become an excellent recruiter in the collegiate realm. He served as head coach and athletic director in Georgia at Renaissance Christian Academy and later as co-offensive coordinator at Westlake High School in Atlanta.
Davis spent time at West Georgia, working in player development, and spent one year at McMurry University as a running backs coach.
Davis was a former five-star recruit who played under Houston Nutt at Ole Miss from 2008-11. Prior to his coaching career, he played professionally with stops with the Atlanta Falcons, Miami Dolphins, Denver Broncos and Green Bay Blizzard.
