Coogan, a 6-foot-5, 310-pound grad transfer from Palos Heights, IL, will have one season of eligibility remaining, and his versatility is a definite plus as he’s able to play center or guard. He’s currently the No. 7 overall transfer portal prospect and the No. 1-ranked interior lineman, according to On3’s rankings.
In Notre Dame’s run to the national title game this season, Coogan started 13 games and was a key component of an offensive line that helped running back Jeremiyah Love rack up 1,125 yards rushing.
Throughout his career, Coogan has started 26 career games, coming at center and left guard.
This past season, Coogan allowed eight quarterback pressures and just one sack.
