Ole Miss picks up commitment from Auburn transfer offensive tackle Percy Lewis

OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss added some much-needed size up front on the offensive line Friday as Lane Kiffin and the Rebels picked up a commitment from Auburn transfer offensive tackle Percy Lewis.

Lewis has been granted an extra year of eligibility as a result of the new ruling allowing junior college players to play an additional year.

Lewis, a native of Sallis, Mississippi, spent one season at Auburn after transferring to the Plains from Mississippi State before the 2024 season. In Starkville, Lewis played in 25 games, making eight starts.

The 6-foot-7, 355-pound Lewis started at left tackle for Hugh Freeze’s Tigers this season against New Mexico, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Georgia and Missouri before being replaced on the line.

Before playing for State, he spent his first two seasons at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College where he played in 12 games.

The Rebels actually recruited Lewis out of junior college and during his earlier stint in the transfer portal. His size makes him a much-needed addition for Ole Miss and offensive line coach John Garrison.

Lewis marks the fourth offensive line commit to Ole Miss out of the fall transfer portal window. He joins PJ Wilkins, Patrick Kutas and Delano Townsend.
