Ole Miss lands commitment from New Mexico transfer tight end Trace Bruckler

OXFORD, Miss. —  On Thursday evening, Ole Miss received a commitment from New Mexico graduate transfer tight end Trace Bruckler. The 6-foot-3, 245-pound tight end will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Bruckler played in 39 games for the Lobos over the past four seasons. The Frisco, Texas native caught 22 passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns this season.

In his career at New Mexico, he played in 39 games and started 24, tallying 46 receptions for 421 yards and five touchdowns.

Bruckler played for Lone Star High School and was rated as a 3-star recruit and the No. 311 prospect out of Texas in the 2021 class. He played WR in high school and chose New Mexico over offers from Arizona, Georgetown, and Houston Christian.

Ole Miss is losing starting tight end Caden Prieskorn to the NFL Draft, but will have Dan’Quan Wright returning. The Rebels also picked up a commitment from Arkansas transfer tight end Luke Hasz, the No. 3 tight end in the transfer portal.
