Four Rebels Ready to Showcase Skills for all 32 NFL Teams at East-West Shrine Bowl

ARLINGTON, Texas — Four former Ole Miss Rebels are in Arlington, Texas for the East-West Shrine Bowl, and The Rebel Walk will be on hand to bring you all the highlights and interviews.

Defensive tackle JJ Pegues, linebacker Chris “Pooh” Paul, tight end Caden Prieskorn and wide receiver Juice Wells are all participating as they look to showcase their skills for the personnel in attendance from all 32 NFL teams.

The East-West Shrine Bowl is the longest-running college all-star football game in the nation. An important part of America’s football tradition, the event gives top college players a chance to showcase their talents to NFL scouts and a national television audience.

Activities began today and will culminate next Thursday with the game between the East and West.

Chris “Pooh” Paul

Chris “Pooh” Paul transferred to Ole Miss from Arkansas last offseason, and his arrival immediately impacted the Rebels’ defense. He led the team in tackles in 2024 with 88 total, 50 of which were solo. Paul also notched 11 tackles for loss for 48 yards, along with 3.5 sacks for 27 yards and one interception, coming in the Egg Bowl victory over Mississippi State.

JJ Pegues

Pegues, an Oxford native, began his career in Auburn before later transferring to Ole Miss to play from 2022-2024. In 2024, Pegues recorded 42 tackles and 3.5 sacks. Additionally, Pegues was a contributor on the offense as he carried the ball 21 times for 69 yards and seven TDs in 2024.

Caden Prieskorn

Prieskorn transferred to Ole Miss from Memphis ahead of the 2023 season. In his two years with the Rebels, he notched 57 receptions for 850 yards and seven touchdowns. Following the 2023 season, Prieskorn was named the Offensive MVP of the Peach Bowl in the Rebels’ win over Penn State.

Juice Wells

Wells transferred to Ole Miss from South Carolina ahead of the 2024 season. He played in all 12 games for the Rebels last season, catching 27 passes for over 500 yards and five touchdowns.
