JACKSONVILLE — Ole Miss football landed in Jacksonville on Sunday and hit the practice field Monday ahead of the Rebels’ Gator Bowl matchup against Duke.
Below is footage from Ole Miss’ first bowl practice as the team worked out at the University of North Florida.
Duke finished the 2024 regular season at 9-3 overall, 5-3 in the ACC, with three respectable losses to bowl teams in Georgia Tech, No. 13 Miami and No. 10 SMU. The Blue Devils reeled off five wins to start the season before falling to the Yellow Jackets in Atlanta. They rebounded with a win over Florida State before falling in overtime to SMU, then to Miami the following week. Duke is on a three-game win streak heading into the bowl.
If Ole Miss defeats Duke, the Rebels will have reached the 10-win mark for the second season in a row. The last time Ole Miss notched back-to-back, ten-win seasons was in 1959 and 1960.
As of Monday, the Rebels are 17.5-point favorites over the Blue Devils. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT and the game will be broadcast on ESPN.
