The St. Thomas More High School graduate originally committed to LSU, and completed 2 of 4 passes for seven yards as a freshman for the Tigers in 2022.

In his time at quarterback for St. Thomas More, the Lafayette, Louisiana native led his team to two state titles. Howard was named the 2020 Louisiana Gatorade Player of the Year and was also a five-star prospect. He was ranked as the No. 5 quarterback for the Class of 2022.

Back in December, 2021, Walker’s coach at St. Thomas More praised his quarterback in comments to The Advocate.

Walker leaves STM as the most decorated player in STM football history. Walker Howard is a five-star quarterback, but he is a 10-star young man.

What’s next for Walker?

There are reports that the University of Louisiana Lafayette is working on an NIL agreement to bring Walker back to Lafayette to play for the Ragin’ Cajuns. Both the team’s two starting quarterbacks from this past season, Ben Wooldridge and Chandler Fields, are now out of eligibility.

We wish the best of luck to Walker as he continues his football career!
