Ole Miss football moves up one spot to No. 15 in Coaches Poll after Egg Bowl win

OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss football moved up one spot to No. 15 in this week’s Coaches Top 25 Poll. The Rebels defeated Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl, 26-14, on Friday in Vaught-Hemingway.

There are seven Southeastern Conference teams in the Coaches’ rankings, including: Texas (2), Georgia (5), Tennessee (6), Alabama (11), South Carolina (12), Ole Miss (15), and Missouri (20). 

The Rebels now sit at 9-3, 5-3 (SEC) and await Tuesday night’s College Football Playoff Committee rankings, the ensuing conference championships, and the final CFP rankings to find out whether they will have an opening into the top 12 or, if not, what bowl game they will be in.
