No. 1 overall transfer portal prospect arrives in Oxford; WR Eric Singleton on official visit at Ole Miss
OXFORD, Miss. — Georgia Tech wide receiver Eric Singleton Jr., is now in Oxford for an official visit, according to our sources. The Douglasville, Georgia native is considered the No. 1 overall player in the transfer portal.
Singleton has two years of eligibility remaining.
At Georgia Tech, Singleton was the leading receiver for the Yellow Jackets for both his seasons there. In his true freshman season in 2023, the 5-foot-11, 190-pound Singleton tallied 48 catches for 714 yards and six touchdowns. For his performance, he was named a Freshman All-American.
He tallied 754 yards this season on 56 receptions and scored three TDs as he averaged 13.5 yards per reception.
With 72 receiving yards in the first half, @EricSingletonJ2 has reached the 1,000-yard mark for his career in his 17th career game. The only @GeorgiaTechFB player that has ever reached 1,000 receiving yards faster is @calvinjohnsonjr, who did it in 14 games.#StingEm 🐝

Before committing to Georgia Tech, Singleton was very close with both Western Kentucky and Auburn, with many thinking he would land on the Plains. He ultimately decided to stay home and play for the Yellow Jackets.
Now in the transfer portal, Singleton is highly sought-after, and Auburn is right there in the mix. Many analysts believed Georgia would be the landing spot for Singleton; however, that no longer seems to be the case. Look for Auburn and Ole Miss to battle for Singleton, with the Texas Longhorns also joining in.
Getting the speedster to campus — he runs a 10.21 100-meter dash — is huge for Ole Miss. Singleton ran track for Georgia Tech, notching a 21.18 in the 200 meters at the ACC Championships in the spring.
