Lane Kiffin, Ole Miss Sign One of Nation’s Best Wide Receiving Corps on 2025 Early Signing Day
OXFORD, Miss. – It is officially Early Signing Day for college football programs around the country, and Ole Miss has signed one of the nation’s top wide receiver classes. Head coach Lane Kiffin’s team signed 5-star Caleb Cunningham, 4-star Winston Watkins, 4-star Dillon Alfred and 4-star Samari Reed.
Of the four, Cunningham, Alfred and Reed had verbally committed to Ole Miss prior to today, and then Fort Myers, Florida native Watkins jumped in the boat, as well.
Despite the high volume of players in this position, each of the future freshmen differs in style and brings a unique sense of talent at such a young age.
Caleb Cunningham, 5-star WR
The first player we’ll look at is Caleb Cunningham, who recently flipped his commitment from Alabama to Ole Miss. Cunningham, who played both football and basketball in high school, is a freakish athlete that possesses a 6-foot-2 frame, fitting perfectly into an outside wide receiver role. To finish off his senior football season, Cunningham caught 42 passes for 877 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Ole Miss WR signee Caleb Cunningham is a twitched up athlete who doubles as a dynamic basketball player. Has the best dunk reel I’ve seen from a 2025 prospect https://t.co/y6mzMRxdhv pic.twitter.com/WDr6pVP3iD https://t.co/jihEQ6Rbnd

The stud is ranked as a top 40 player and top five wide receiver in the country by every recruiting service, proving his elite potential. This is a player who has a chance to come in and start right away for Kiffin and the Rebels.
Winston Watkins Jr., 4-star WR
As mentioned previously, Watkins chose to sign with Ole Miss this morning over schools like Georgia, Alabama, Penn State, South Carolina, Indiana, and many more. The widely-recognized four-star is coming off of an incredible senior year, consisting of 78 receptions, 1,011 yards, and 17 touchdowns.
Similar to players Dayton Wade, Elijah Moore, or Jordan Watkins, Winston stands at 5-foot-10, carrying incredible athleticism and outside receiver capabilities. Judging by the use of slot and uber-athletic receivers in the past, expect Lane Kiffin to be creative with Watkins the second he gets to campus. The Florida native will be a mid-year enrollee for the Rebs.

Dillon Alfred, 4-star WR
Alfred is another fantastic four-star receiver coming out of Saraland High School, the same high school that current Alabama receiver Ryan Williams attended. During his time as a senior, Alfred hauled in eight touchdowns on 31 receptions and 456 yards.

He stands at 5-foot-11 and has the potential to play at numerous wide receiver spots for Lane Kiffin. Dillon also chose the Rebels over Clemson, Tennessee, Auburn, and many other schools.
Samari Reed, 4-star WR
Similar to Watkins, Reed is originally from the great state of Florida, attending Monarch High School in Coconut Creek. According to Rivals, Reed is ranked a top-150 player in the nation with offers from Florida State, Penn State, Kentucky, and more. Not only is Samari talented in the passing game, but the receiver also picked up 547 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground in his senior season.
On top of his ability on the football field, Reed also brings competitive experience from the basketball court as well. Standing at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, Samari has big-time wide receiver abilities that could be brought to life in such an explosive Ole Miss offense.
