BOOM! Ole Miss lands Princewill Umanmielen, brother of Princely; Younger Umanmielen is No. 1 EDGE in Portal, No. 4 overall player

OXFORD, Miss. – Nebraska transfer Princewill Umanmielen has committed to Ole Miss this evening, per Matt Zenitz, choosing the Rebels over numerous SEC programs such as Texas A&M, LSU, and Auburn. According to 247 Sports, Umanmielen is the No. 4 player in the entire transfer portal.

Similar to his brother Princely Umanmielen, Princewill is 6-foot-5, 245 pounds, and is a disruptive defensive player. Over his last two seasons with the Cornhuskers, the edge rusher recorded 35 total tackles and 1.5 sacks, being a crucial part of their defense.

In addition to being an elite pass rusher, Umanmielen also spent a great deal of time in coverage, proving to be effective as a hybrid linebacker as well. With Pete Golding and Randall Joyner losing Princely Umanmielen, Jared Ivey, JJ Pegues, and many other defensive linemen, Princewill and his two years of eligibility will be crucial for Rebel’s defense in 2025.
