The 6-foot-5 Odom is a former five-star recruit in the class of 2024.
Caleb Odom recently announced his intentions to enter the portal after spending his freshman season with the Crimson Tide. The Carrollton, Georgia native was heavily involved with Ole Miss during his recruitment, putting Lane Kiffin’s staff in a strong position to target the receiver. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.
With his large frame, Odom is not only efficient in the pass attack but also in the run game. In the 2024 recruiting class, Odom was rated as the nation’s No. 1 tight end.
The playmaker was among the most sought-after players in the country once he entered the transfer portal.
Odom chose Ole Miss over offers from Miami, Colorado, North Carolina, South Carolina and others. One factor that certainly helped the Rebels is that his position coach at Alabama was Joe Cox, who is currently on the Rebels’ staff
As a senior in high school at Carrollton, Odom tallied 46 catches for 748 yards and 12 touchdowns. As a junior, he tallied 64 receptions for 1,121 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Needless to say, the Rebels’ talented wide receiver room just got even better.
