Arkansas transfer running back Braylen Russell visiting Ole Miss; the big RB was named SEC Freshman of Week in Hogs’ win over State

OXFORD, Miss. — Arkansas freshman running back Braylen Russell — after deciding to enter the portal and then re-thinking that decision — has once again decided he will enter.

Russell is on campus today, Friday, December 20, in Oxford. He would be a fantastic addition as he has shown he is a big, bruising SEC-level back and the Rebels

During his first year with the Razorbacks, the 6-foot-1 253-pound Russell played in eight games and finished the season with 304 yards on 47 carries with two touchdowns. He tallied a 6.5 yard per carry average.

He was named the SEC’s Freshman of the Week for Week 9, following his performance in the Razorbacks’ win over Mississippi State. In that game, Russell rushed for 175 yards on 16 carries, a 10.9 yard per carry average.

Russell is a former four-star recruit from Benton (Arkansas) High School, who was the No. 5 overall prospect in the state and the No 30 running back in the nation.
