SEC Nation’s Jordan Rodgers discusses Ole Miss vs. Georgia matchup
OXFORD, Miss. — No. 16 Ole Miss plays host to the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs this afternoon and SEC Nation is in the Grove for GameDay.
On Friday, SEC Nation’s Jordan Rodgers met with the media. He discussed how the Rebels’ quarterback Jaxson Dart has progressed during his time in Oxford.
“I think Jaxson has made huge strides in his career here at Ole Miss. I think the offensive line has come along. When you give Jaxson Dart time he can pick you apart.”

Rodgers on what the Rebels need to do to be successful against Georgia.
“They have to run the ball,” Rodgers said. “It’s going to be tough without Henry Parrish for sure. Maybe Jaxson needs to run the football a little bit more,” he commented.
“If you go back and watch Georgia in that Texas game, they where able to dial up unique blitzes,” Rodgers continued. “If they are able to not have to worry about the run game, they can be creative in their blitz game. They are going to create some problems for that offense line and Jaxson Dart.”
Rodgers added that Ole Miss’ defense can cause problems for Georgia.
“(Georgia) has to be able to run the ball well too,” Rodgers said. “When it is all on Carson Beck’s shoulders with the type of defense Ole Miss has, they have to run the ball and slow down the Ole Miss front so there is not as much pressure on Carson.”
Rodgers also talked about the implications of Saturday’s game and the importance of Lane Kiffin’s team emerging with a win.
“I think Lane Kiffin is a top-tier coach. He’s going to have a chance to go out there and prove it.”@SECNetwork analyst @JRodgers11 talks about what an important game Saturday’s contest with Georgia is for Ole Miss and Coach Kiffin.
